Text comparison (diff)
Paste the original and the new text and the tool highlights the lines that were added or removed. Great for checking edits to contracts, articles or code. The comparison runs entirely in your browser.
FAQ
How does the comparison work?
Texts are compared line by line using the longest common subsequence (LCS) algorithm. Lines only in the new text are shown in green with “+”, removed ones in red with “−”.
Can I compare code?
Yes, line-based comparison is ideal for source code. The option ignores trailing whitespace differences.
Is there a length limit?
Thousands of lines are fine. For extremely long texts the tool reports that the text is too long.
Are the texts uploaded?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser.
